Paul Evans is the new head chef of The Burlington Restaurant at The Devonshire Arms

Paul Evans will leave his position as senior sous at Lords of the Manor next month to become head chef at The Burlington Restaurant at The Devonshire Arms. Paul replaces Adam Smith on July 28 as Adam heads to a new role at Cowarth Park.

Paul has been at Lords of the Manor for the past four years and previous to that he worked at The Whitebrooke under James Sommerin. He has also spent time at L'Enclume and The Waterside Inn.

Adam Dyke, GM The Devonshire Arms Hotel and Spa, said: "We are very much looking forward to welcoming Paul, he has a fantastic background and we are excited to see him develop at The Devonshire Arms. we are sad to see Adam go but we are looking to the future and we are very happy with our new appointment."

Paul brings with him a very different food style and Adam believes he is 'one to watch'. 

Paul told The Staff Canteen: "The Devonshire Arms has an incredible reputation and I am looking forward to joining the Burlington as head chef."
