Ollie Dabbous to leave role as chef patron of HIDE
Ollie Dabbous is stepping down as chef patron of Michelin-starred HIDE Restaurant.
Ollie opened the Piccadilly venue in 2018, for owners Yevgeny Chichvarkin and Tatiana Fokina, as a joint venture with Hedonism Wines.
It earned a Michelin star months later, which it has retained ever since.
Early in 2025, he will hand over the reins to the group’s current executive chef Josh Angus, who will become chef director, as first reported by Restaurant Online.
Discussing the decision to leave HIDE, Ollie said: “It has been an amazing experience helping set up and run a restaurant of such scale and with so much attention to detail.
“When we started it was a building site, now it feels like I am leaving a well-loved and established restaurant.
“Wishing the team continued success in the future; it is in great hands. I’ll enjoy some time with my family and friends before focusing on the next adventure.”
Tatiana, CEO of Hedonism Group, added: “We are very grateful for everything that Ollie has contributed towards Hide’s success and wish him the best of luck for his future ventures.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have such a strong kitchen team, who have been together for many years, and we are confident that Hide will continue to thrive under Josh’s leadership.”
