Nathan Outlaw and Glynn Purnell are to join forces to host a kitchen takeover at Nathan’s Outlaw’s at The Capital on Wednesday 17th September.

Priced £160 per person the four course dinner comes with wine pairing as well as an aperitif and canapés on arrival. The evening will be celebrating the launch of Glynn’s book debut ‘Cracking Yolks & Pig Tales’.

An opportunity to see Glynn out of his hometown Birmingham the evening will begin with Glynn and Nathan welcoming guests, before hosting a Q&A session together. Glynn will then take over Nathan’s kitchen, serving a four-course menu including dishes from his own Michelin-starred restaurant, Purnell’s in Birmingham, as well as ‘Cracking Yolks & Pig Tales’. Opened in 2007, Purnell’s was awarded its first Michelin star in 2009 for Glynn’s interpretation of contemporary and adventurous British cuisine.

Outlaw’s at The Capital, which opened in October 2012, is Nathan Outlaw’s first restaurant outside Cornwall, and was awarded its first Michelin star in 2013. It has also won the Waitrose Good Food Guide 2014 award for ‘Best Value Set Lunch’. The menu boasts an ever-changing selection of unique dishes, created using seasonal British seafood.

Opened 40 years ago by David Levin, The Capital is still family run to this day with David’s daughter Kate managing the business. As well as the restaurant and hotel, which offers 49 individually decorated bedrooms with an emphasis on classic English design, The Capital Bar is well known for its extensive whisky collection.
