Michelin-starred Northcote launches Cookery School
Lancashire country-house hotel and Michelin-starred restaurant Northcote is launching Northcote Cookery School next month.
Housed within the Michelin-starred kitchen, newly appointed head tutor Michael Vanheste, formerly of Bettys Cookery School, will lead the majority of classes with some selected dates being run by Northcote’s chef patron Nigel Haworth and head chef Lisa Allen.
The school has been designed to cater for beginners, students or even those just looking to challenge themselves in a top class environment to observe how ingredients are selected, prepared and transformed into the plated works of art which has seen Northcote earn its Michelin recognition.
Exciting courses include Easter Entertaining (22 & 24 April) where students create seasonal dishes for the holiday such as asparagus with crab, slow baked Blackberry Farm artisan bacon rubbed with Easter spices and white chocolate hot cross bun bread and butter pudding.
Further courses will be available over the Bank Holiday weekend such as Lemongrass & Lime Leaves (9 May), Focus on Fish (5 June) and BBQ Masterclass (8 & 10 July) headed up by managing director Craig Bancroft.
Northcote Cookery School will be offering a range of half and full day courses. Prices range from £185 to £250 and include morning tea and coffee served with seasonal pastries; an informal two-course lunch paired with fine wine; a Northcote Cookery School apron and gift bag laden down with gourmet goods. Enjoy the full Northcote experience by combining with an overnight stay for the special bed and breakfast package of £150.
