Michelin Guide UK 2023: Latest additions, January 2023

A further twenty four restaurants have been added to the Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland this month.

The Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland announced six additions to its digital guide (which you can access here) in January.

The tyre company introduced monthly releases last year, but will only list restaurants worthy of a visit between publishing its annual guide: stars, Bib Gourmands and Green stars will continue to be announced annually.

As of this month, the following twenty four restaurants will be listed in the Michelin Guide:

ENGLAND

New entries for England in The Michelin Guide include London’s Mayfair, The Twenty Two, a clubby restaurant housed in a stunning period house by Grosvenor Square.

The guide also included Maria G’s a bright comforting venue that offers a little of that Amalfi sunshine to its Kensington home.

Roji on South Molton Street was also included by the guide in this month and is another in the new wave of Japanese counter restaurants that are flourishing in London.

Artisanal bakery by day Italian restaurant by night Pophams also featured in the guide in January, with Shoreditch’s Cycene also featuring in guide this month.

Outside of London, Allium at the Vices in York, The Spärrows in Manchester, Coarse in Durham, Fletcher’s in Plymouth, Tutto in Brighton, Brasserie MS in Folkestone, The Suffolk in Aldeburgh, Land in Birmingham, Where there’s Smoke in Masham, The Castle Inn in Chippenham, The Angel Inn in Stoke-by-Nayland, and The Dial House in Norfolk were all included this month’s Michelin Guide.

SCOTLAND

The Guide included venues were included Prime Scottish produce is celebrated front and centre at two restaurants in Scotland; Amuse by Kevin Dalgleish, in Aberdeen and the North Port in Perth.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

The Bishop's Buttery in Cashel and Terre at the Castlemartyr Resort were both included in the guide’s January.

NORTHERN IRELAND

Three restaurants from Northern Ireland were included in January’s edition of the guide including; Blank in Belfast, Fontana in Holywood, and Derry’s Artis by Phelim O'Hagan.
