Michelin Guide San Francisco 2017 announces 1 new 3 star, 1 new 2 star and 7 new 1 stars
The Michelin Guide San Francisco 2017 announced one new three star as Quince goes from two stars to three in this year’s guide.
There was only one new two star in the guide as Lazy Bear gets bumped up from one to two stars joining Acquerello, Atelier Crenn, Baumé, Campton Place, Coi, and Commis in that category.
Among this year’s entrants in the one star category were San Francisco’s Hashiri, Mister Jiu’s, Ju-Ni, The Progress, and Mosu, Menlo Park’s Madera, and San Jose’s Adega.
The only restaurant to lose one star from last year is San Francisco’s Kusakabe.
With the Northern California based restaurant, Quince joining the three star club this marks the sixth Bay Area Restaurant to be honoured with the prestigious accolade tying it with New York.
With the release of the latest guide, San Francisco now has 54 restaurants being awarded the coveted star.
The Michelin Guide San Francisco 2017 is available from October 25.
