The Stafford Collection has welcomed Michael Caines MBE as a culinary strategist at its London hotel.

The luxury group known for its exceptional hotels and dining experiences, is entering an exciting new phase with the appointment of Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines MBE.

As culinary strategist, Michael will bring his expertise and innovative vision to one of the city's most distinguished hotels.

Located in the heart of St. James’s and Mayfair, The Stafford London is home to The Game Bird restaurant and the renowned American Bar. With Michael at the helm, the hotel aims to elevate its dining experiences while maintaining its signature elegance and world-class service.

Michael’s career has been shaped by some of the greatest names in gastronomy, including Raymond Blanc, Joël Robuchon, and Bernard Loiseau.

His journey led him to open Lympstone Manor in 2017, a five-star country house hotel with a vineyard and an acclaimed restaurant.

Just six months after its launch, the restaurant earned a Michelin star, later adding 5 AA Rosettes and 2 Michelin Keys to its accolades.

Michael said: “I am thrilled to be joining The Stafford London and honoured to be part of this exciting new chapter. It feels like a natural fit for me, having worked in luxury five-star hotels from early on in my career. I am looking forward to working with the exceptional talent that makes up the team within the hotel and together delivering unforgettable culinary experiences.”

John McLean, managing director of the Stafford Collection added: “This is a defining moment for The Stafford London. We are thrilled to collaborate with Michael Caines, whose exceptional talent and experience as a culinary visionary will enhance our offering across the hotel. We eagerly anticipate the impact of his expertise and look forward to welcoming guests to experience it.”
