MasterChef: the Professionals 2015 finalist, Scott Barnard will leave his role as sous chef at Collette’s restaurant at the Grove Hotel for his first head chef position at Crockers Chef’s Table in Potten End in Hertfordshire.

Scott Barnard has been with the Grove for almost 10 years. He started his career working as a chef de partie at Flitwick Manor in Bedfordshire before joining Compleat Angler in Marlow working under Dean Timpson.

Scott’s first menu will be available from February 2017 and is open for bookings. He said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for me to share my food with the locals of the Three Counties. What’s more I will be cooking in front of the guests, so I am sure it is going to be fun and much more personal.”

Crockers Chef’s Table is an intimate 10 cover chef’s table serving three and seven course tasting menus with matching wines.

Luke Garnsworthy, Owner of Crockers Chef's Table, said: “My wife and I have been overwhelmed by the local support we have received since we opened two months ago. Bringing Scott on board means that we can elevate the food further & provide an even better experience for everyone that eats with us.”

Scott appeared on MasterChef: The Professionals 2015 where he made it through to the finals coming in second place behind winner, Mark Stinchcombe.
