Set to launch in Covent Garden, Tredwell’s will bring Marcus Wareing Restaurants to Seven Dials. The restaurant, named after the butler in Agatha Christie’s novel, ‘The Seven Dials Mystery’, is intended to provide an informal setting to enjoy an affordable, quality menu of dishes. On offer at the upcoming Tredwell’s will be a variety of British dishes, with worldly influences.

Wareing himself intends to take a backseat and allow his team, led by Group Operations Director Chantelle Nicholson, to take the reins of the new restaurant. Of the new venture, he says, “I am so proud of the team we have created, and with Chantelle at the helm I am able to step back and allow their skills and experience to drive the project forward, making a mark on the London dining scene.

“The future of the company is down to the team to create something for their future growth too.”

Head chef at the exciting new restaurant will be Andrew Ward, bringing with him a wealth of experience having trained under some of the industry’s finest chefs including Bruce Poole at Chez Bruce, as well as a two year stint at La Trompette. Ward’s menu, bringing together British produce and foreign flavours, is set to include:  sticky smoked goosnargh chicken thighs; harissa glazed aubergine, peanuts, coriander and chilli; and slow cooked, smoked beef shortrib with baked beans.

There will also be a varied selection of vegetarian, gluten free and vegan options for patrons to choose from. These include an array of vegan-friendly ice creams ensuring those with dairy and wheat intolerances don’t miss out on the appetizing food on offer.

Customers can also enjoy an assortment of cocktails created by Dav Eames, Group Bar Manager from The Gilbert Scott, including: ‘A Pocketful or Rye’ and ‘Sparkling Cyanide’ – all a nod to the Christie novels. Tredwell’s will also provide a wine list, designed to perfectly complement the enticing menus, as well as a bar area on the lower ground floor where guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks.

Chantelle Nicholson, who is directing this newest venture for Marcus Wareing Restaurants, confessed her excitement surrounding the restaurant: “We are very excited to be part of the buzz of the West End, in particular the niche area of Seven Dials. Tredwell’s is going to be all about offering something for everyone.  It’s going to have great food and an awesome cocktail list, with a fantastic team of people on board - it will be a lot of fun!”

The restaurant will be the third from the Marcus Wareing Restaurants brand, following on from the success Wareing has enjoyed at both the two Michelin starred Marcus, at the Berkeley Hotel, and The Gilbert Scott.
