Michelin starred chef, Daniel Clifford has named Luke Finegan as his new head chef of the fine dining restaurant and pub, Flitch of Bacon situated in Dunmow, Essex.

The appointment was announced over the social networking platform, Twitter with the Essex based restaurant and pub tweeting: “We are very pleased to be welcoming @Cheflukefinegan who joins the team at the Flitch as Head Chef from tomorrow.”

Luke joins Flitch of Bacon from his role as head chef at Arbutus Restaurant. Having worked in some of London’s finest restaurants including Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and Roux at Parliament Square Restaurant, Luke brings with him a wealth of experience to the new position.

Responding to the Tweet, Luke could barely contain his excitement of working with the renowned chef. He said: “@flitchofbaconLD I can’t wait to start working with @Midsummerchef and the team 2016 brings a new start in Essex after 10 years in London!”

The role sees Luke take over from previous head chef, Dan Gill who's departure was announced back in April. Dan was previously the head chef at Midsummer House for over five years before taking on the same role at Flitch of Bacon.
