Jason Atherton to serve up menu at Farm Africa fundraiser
Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton will create a menu to take centre stage at Farm Africa’s Food for Good Ball next month.
The event is due to take place on 27 March at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum with Jason preparing to serve 250 guests under the museum’s majestic dome in aid of Farm Africa’s work to end hunger in Africa – for good.
Speaking about the event, Jason said: “All of us who work in the food and hospitality sectors need to do more to help those struggling to produce enough food for their families and communities to eat in incredibly challenging circumstances.
“That is why I am so proud to be supporting Farm Africa through the Food for Good Ball. By coming together to raise as much money as we can on the night, the food and hospitality sectors can show just how much we can all do in the coming year and beyond to support Farm Africa’s work in tackling hunger – for good.”
Jason has been involved with Farm Africa since it began and the Food for Good campaign has gone on to raise over £500,000 with ABP Food Group and Compass Group UK & Ireland the latest to provide generous sponsorship for this event.
Also on the night, former England and British Lions rugby star Martin Bayfield will keep guests entertained as he assumes his role as Master of Ceremonies and he is looking forward to the role.
He said: “I’m thrilled to be involved in Farm Africa’s Food for Good Ball and to being part of an evening that will do so much to create positive change on the ground in eastern Africa. I’m really looking forward to doing as much as I can to making the evening a great success.”
