Hundreds share messages of support for Dominique Crenn following breast cancer diagnosis
Friends and fans have sent heartfelt messages to Three Michelin-starred Dominique Crenn after the chef announced that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer on Sunday.
Dominique shared the news on social media on Instagram and Twitter, saying she felt both "scared and humbled" but not alone. She said that one in eight women contract the disease in their lifetime.
"I am neither alone nor unique," she said.
The chef said she would remain in the kitchen as much as humanely possible throughout her treatment, adding that "being there, engaged in my craft, and with those I love so dearly is what fuels me."
Extending her good wishes to all women who have battled cancer also, she said: "For all the women who have been on this journey before me and now with me, my heart is with you."
At the time of writing this, more than 1,700 messages of support had been shared on the chef's Instagram page, with hundreds more sending their best wishes on Twitter.
You are an inspiration to so many, including me, and we are praying for you.
