Host of top names headline The Big Feastival 2014
Jamie Oliver and Alex James will present music, family and food festival ‘The Big Feastival’ this year with arguably its best line-up yet including DJ Fatboy Slim and two Michelin-starred chef Nathan Outlaw.
The event, which takes place between 29-31 August, now moves into its third year on Alex James’ Farm in The Cotswolds with Nathan joined by the likes of Le Gavroche sous chef Monica Galetti, one half of BBC’s The Two Greedy Italians, Gennaro Contaldo and Ashley Palmer-Watts of award winning Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.
Between them the stellar line-up will be providing top tips during their live demos while being accompanied by host Jamie Oliver.
Other well known music stars will also be performing such as American R&B star Kelis performing songs from her appropriately named new album “FOOD”, Indie folk heroes Stornoway and Big Feastival favourites Norman Jay MBE, The Cuban Brothers and Duke.
Alex James said: “The Big Feastival gets bigger and bigger every year – I can’t wait. It’s going to be one hell of a party!”
Following last year’s success, the event will begin with a full Friday programme for the first time with Guilty Pleasures hosting the main stage with DJ sets from Sean Rowley and special guest appearances from Bjorn Again and Fleetwood Bac.
Christian Stevenson, aka DJ BBQ, will again be in attendance to provide one selection of food with a whole host of gourmet offerings still to be revealed.
The Big Feastival is not just an adult affair with family entertainment including Adam Henson’s Cotswolds Farm Park giving kids the chance to meet some of their favourite furry and feathered friends.
Jamie Oliver is certainly looking forward to the three day weekend extravaganza and he said: “Three full days of great music, food and good times for all the family – get involved before tickets are gone and it’s too late!”
Tickets for The Big Feastival went on sale this morning and are available via www.thebigfeastival.com or by calling 0844 995 9673.
