Tomorrow world renowned chef Heston Blumenthal will be fundraising for Sport Relief by taking part in a charity table tennis event and tournament. An avid player with his own personal trainer, Heston will be holding an open auction - with the highest bidder winning a match with the man himself.

After many years of kickboxing and cricket, Heston turned his hand to table tennis and soon found it was a great way to focus and perfect his finesse.

He said:“Table tennis is really good fun and very intense. I find it a great way to unwind as its all you can focus on when you’re playing as its such a fast sport.  Its great to be able to do my bit for Sport Relief and I can’t wait to pick up my bat for such a worthwhile cause.  I hope we will raise lots of money on the day.”

To enter, call 07958735935 or email chris.beckley.tt@gmail.com, stating your name, contact number and skill level. Entry fee is a minimum donation of £3, with all proceeds going directly to Sport Relief.  The event is being hosted at Britannia Leisure Centre, Hyde Road, London N1 on Saturday the 2nd April, 12pm – 3pm. Non-attendees can donate online at: www.justgiving.com/BritanniaTTCsportrelief.
