Greek restaurant OPSO to host Michelin-starred collaborations
Modern Greek restaurant OPSO, led by acclaimed restaurateurs Nikos Roussos and Andreas Labridis, is set to host ‘Four Hands, Four Stars’ this autumn.
Exclusive dinners will be held in collaboration with good friends and talented two Michelin-starred chefs Ahmet Dede and Konstantin Filippou, offering two evenings of extraordinary cooking.
Located in the heart of Marylebone, OPSO has been serving Londoners with its modern take on Greek food for over 10 years - taking seasonal British and signature Greek ingredients and elevating them into unique takes on traditional dishes.
OPSO’s executive chef and founder Nikos held two Michelin stars at his Athens-based restaurant Funky Gourmet and for these special events, he will collaborate with a guest chef, each of whom is also the proud holder of two stars, to create an extraordinary menu, inspired by the flavours and culinary traditions of the Aegean sea; a common thread which bonds all three chefs through their shared Mediterranean roots.
Taking place on Wednesday (October 16), the first dinner welcomes Ahmet, the Turkish chef owner of two Michelin-starred restaurant Dede and his latest venture Baba’de restaurant, both in Ireland.
Located in the west Cork coastal village of Baltimore, chef Ahmet bases Dede’s ethos on the marriage of the Irish surroundings and his Turkish heritage. Local produce forms the foundation of his menus, while he elevates his dishes with Turkish spices and flavours.
Then, on Wednesday, October 30, Nikos will partner with Konstantin, the Greek-Austrian chef owner of two Michelin-starred restaurant, O Boufés and the contemporary casual fine dining restaurant Mama Konstantina, in Vienna, Austria. Chef Konstantin will bring with him his distinctive cooking style, and modern and contrasting plates influenced by his Greek heritage and a deep passion for the bounties of the sea.
Reflecting on the celebrations, OPSO co-founder Andreas says, “Nikos and I are excited to mark OPSO’s 10-year milestone with such special events. From the Four Hands, Four Stars dinners in October to the launch of our first cookbook this November, this is a momentous time for us.”
Both dinners begin from 5.45pm, tickets priced at £110 per person, with an optional wine pairing available.
