Gareth Stevenson has announced his departure from Palé Hall Hotel
Head Chef Gareth Stevenson has announced he will be leaving Palé Hall hotel to take up a new position at Dockett No.33, in Shropshire.
Announcing his upcoming departure on his Instagram account Gareth, who’s spent 7 years working at the 3 AA rosette award-winning restaurant housed in the 5 AA red star hotel, explained that he would be leaving the group to start a new position that he would announce in the future.
Commenting on his departure, Gareth said: “Taken a while to figure out how to sum up the last 7 years at Palé, but fair to say after spending 20% of my life somewhere it will always hold a special place in my heart.”
He added: “Thank you to all of those who have formed my teams over those 7 years. There is no greater cog in the machine than the other. I don't think I can tag you all, but do know that all of your work was appreciated.”
Thanking his team, suppliers and guests, Gareth said: "Thank you to Alan, Angela Harper and Michael Caines for seeing something in what I do 7 years ago and taking a chance. Your faith, support and guidance over that time has been invaluable. The suppliers, who gave us the paints to create the finished canvas, and to the guests who have visited in one form or another, thank you."
He added: "I wish all the team the very best for the future, I look forward to seeing how Palé moves forward. So, for one final time."
Before joining Palé Hall, Gareth has worked at Gordon Ramsay’s one Michelin-starred Maze restaurant, as well as extensively under Michael Caines who attributes a lot of his success as a chef towards.
