The Freemasons at Wiswell has added to its awards haul with the Tourism Pub Award at this year’s Lancashire Tourism Awards.

Over 600 tourism professionals visited the event, taking place on the 120th anniversary of The Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

The Tourism Pub Award was open to inns that make a significant contribution to the Lancashire tourism industry. The pubs had to prove their contribution to the sustainability of the neighbourhood in which they run their business, as well as Lancashire as a whole.

Steven Smith said: “This year has truly been overwhelming for the team at The Freemasons. We work tirelessly to provide an outstanding, unique experience for our customers and to win this award is proof that we’re getting it right.”

The quality of the Freemasons food and wine menu has established the inn as one of the North’s top dining destinations. This status is being seen in the accolades the restaurant has achieved this year, including its listing in The Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants and its seven out of 10 in the Waitrose Good Food Guide. This ranking makes the Freemasons the first pub in history to receive this award.
