Former Masterchef winner Mat Follas and seaside restaurant Fish Market will come together for a series of pop-up suppers early next year.

The aim is to bring a slice of the Dorset shore to the square mile by offering seaside dishes within the restaurant with produce sourced and foraged from our own waters.

Mat will be partnering with Fish Market head chef Barry Macmillan on three separate dates: Saturday 11, 18 and 25 January, to serve up a three course fish supper with a difference. The three dinners will be a celebration of local and wild Dorset produce from our abundant coastline.

Dishes will include land and sea snails, smoked mussel gratin, clams with samphire mayonnaise, day-boat bouillabaisse, hot ginger granita with lemon balm and bitter chocolate fondant with lavender ice cream. Guests will also be treated to a few extra foraged surprises courtesy of Mat’s expertise. Each evening promises to be a fantastic showcase of seasonal British fish and seafood.

The dinners will be priced at £35 per person, and there will be two evening sittings at 6.30pm and then 8.30pm. D&D’s Fish Market has a menu developed by Barry and executive head chef Allan Pickett and features classic English dishes such as Winkles and whelks, native lobster cocktail, beer-battered fish and chips with mushy peas, fish pie and Cornish fish soup.
