Executive Chef Tom Cenci announces he is leaving Duck and Waffle
After six years at Duck & Waffle, Tom Cenci has announced on social media he is leaving his role as Executive Chef.
During his time at the highest 24 hour restaurant in London, Tom was part of the team which led the restaurant into the UK’s top 100 restaurants. He has now handed over the reins to Daniel Barbosa.
Tom posted a tweet thanking the amazing team he had around him and added he hopes to announce some exciting news soon.
So after 6 years at Duck & Waffle the time has come for me to move on. A truly amazing experience that I couldn't have done without the amazing team around me. I hope to announce some exciting news soon but until then I will be taking some time off to spend with family & friends pic.twitter.com/mmNCvvnEm3

Tom's career has seen him work in in multiple Michelin-starred kitchens, including 1 Lombard Street before moving to the 24-hour Duck & Waffle, where he worked alongside Dan Doherty prior to his departure in April 2018 when he opened The Royal Oak pub in Marylebone.
On leaving Tom said: “So after 6 years at Duck & Waffle the time has come for me to move on. A truly amazing experience that I couldn't have done without the amazing team around me. I hope to announce some exciting news soon but until then I will be taking some time off to spend with family & friends”.
Previous guests thanked and congratulated him for his time, and wished him the best for his future endeavours.
He added: "Thank you to everyone who dined with us over the years and for all your support. There are way too many people to mention on here but thank you to those that have supported myself and the restaurant."
