The Cornish Chef's Club will create an eight course tasting menu at Rosewarne Manor in Cornwall to raise money for charity on July 3. This is the second time the group have hosted the Epic Event and it includes the same group of eight head chefs from around Cornwall.

In 2013 they raised in excess of £23,000 for five local charities through ticket sales and also a charity auction.

Founding member of the club, Phil Thomas who is head chef at Roswarne Manor, said: "The whole mandate for the dinners is that we do not pay out a single penny, everything from the marquee itself to champagne on arrival ,right through to the ingredients used in the petit fours are donated by suppliers, companies and individuals.

"This year we are repeating the event and it will be in aid of Hospitality Action, Macmillan Cancer and Childrens Hospice South West. We already have the chefs in place, the menu almost written and suppliers coming on board day by day."

The chefs who will be cooking at the event are:

Phil Thomas, Rosewarne Manor

Adrian Oliver, The Old Mill Bistro,Little Petheric

Ken Symons, Olivers Restaurant

Steve Marsh, Llawnroc Hotel, Gorran Haven

Bruce Rennie, The Shore restaurant

Ben Prior, Ben's Cornish Kitchen,Marazion

Tom Mackins, Chapter 1 Restaurant

Mike Palmer, Two Bridges Hotel, Two Bridges

Joe Fallowfield, The Square Restaurant

Phil added: "The club has always been based around 'the little guys' and it was formed to promote trade only dinners where chefs, suppliers and local producers could have dinner and talk shop in a relaxed atmosphere. We were the original model, and I now believe that there are Clubs in Devon,Somerset and Yorkshire."

The club are hoping to raise in the region of £20,000 and if you want to donate visit
