De Groene Lantaarn awarded two stars in Michelin guide Netherlands 2016
The De Groene Lantaarn restaurant in Zuidwolde, headed by Jarno Eggen, joined a list of 19 existing two star restaurants in the Netherlands this year.
All restaurants awarded stars in the 2015 Michelin guide retained their stars, making 107 Michelin star restaurants available in the Netherlands in 2016.
"The unchanging nature of this selection reflects the positive developments in the Dutch gastronomy sector in recent times. Chefs are looking to the future and continue to upgrade the Dutch culinary identity thanks to their know-how", confirmed Michael Ellis, international director for Michelin guides.
De Librije, in Zwolle, and De Leest, in Vaassen, have retained their 3 stars.
In total, the Michelin guide Netherlands 2016 holds over 1,200 addresses with 557 hotels and 696 restaurants.
New one star restaurants:
- Het Roode Koper
- De Heeren van Harinxma
- De Swarte Ruijter
- The Joelia
- Aan de Zweth
- Strandlodge
- Zarzo
The Michelin guide to the Netherlands for 2016 will be available to purchase from 10 December.
