UK’s Fergus Henderson receives the Lifetime Achievement Award 2014
UK chef Fergus Henderson has been awarded The Diners Club® Lifetime Achievement Award, as part of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards 2014 sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna. He is the founding partner of one of the UK’s most influential restaurants, St. John in London, which opened in 1994.

A cafe that uses leftover food thrown out by restaurants and supermarkets to create meals has opened its doors. The Real Junkfood Project in Leeds, West Yorkshire, only serves meals created from food destined for landfill. Numerous restaurants, supermarkets and cafes in the city have now got behind the scheme and donate food on a daily basis after they were approached by project leaders.
