TV chef Clarissa Dickson Wright dies


She was a brilliant cook, an erudite food historian and a champion of hunting and shooting once convicted of attending an illegal hare coursing event. She had no time for rudeness and little for those whose philosophies she could not understand, including Labour politicians and "manky" vegetarians.

Cardiff's latest pop-up restaurant opens in a church hall


A Welsh teacher with a knack for cooking has become a runaway success thanks to her pop-up restaurant in a church hall.  Angharad Elias created Y Pop-ty last November and is now taking bookings up until June at St Catherine’s Church Hall on King’s Road in Pontcanna, Cardiff.  The menu changes on a monthly basis and, as a pescetarian, Angharad does not serve meat dishes.
