Four Michelin Star Chefs Unite
MANCHESTER House head chef Aiden Byrne has called in fellow celebrity chefs Tom Aikens, Daniel Clifford and Michael Wignall to cook alongside him at a charity dinner. The dining experience over eight courses, each paired with a matching wine, is taking place on Tuesday 18 February and is £200 per person. Hospitality Action, which provides a lifeline for current and former hospitality industry workers who find themselves in crisis, will receive £100 from each ticket.

Jamie Oliver is closing three of his four Union Jacks restaurants, citing tough economic circumstances. Oliver has closed down three of its four branches with just its main Covent Garden Piazza continuing to serve “nostalgic British classics” as it is still trading well.

Now, the former sous chef claims in a lawsuit that he can’t get work because his sense of taste has been ruined.

Pub fry-up is named best breakfast
Pub chain Wetherspoon has been named the nation’s top choice for the most important meal of the day. Its lower fat sausages and poppy-seed toast has earned the accolade best Big Breakfast in the Men’s Health magazine Restaurant Awards 2014, beating a host of restaurant chains and food providers.
