Graham Jessop appointed Executive Chef at 28-50 Wine Workshop & Kitchen
Former sous chef of Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Graham Jessop, has taken a new role as Executive Chef at 28-50 Wine Workshop & Kitchen in London. Graham will oversee its three restaurants in the capital, situated in Marylebone, Fetter Lane and the recently opened Maddox Street, Mayfair which are under the ownership of master sommelier Xavier Rousset and top chef Agnar Sverrisson. Chef Jason Atherton new TV gameshow hits screens next week
Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton’s new television game show, My Kitchen Rules, is to begin next week on satellite channel Sky Living HD. The 10-part series, which was announced for the first time last year, will see six teams of two amateur cooks competing to turn a domestic kitchen into an in-house restaurant. Chelsea FC opens Marco Grill at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea Football Club has launched a new steakhouse called Marco Grill at its Stamford Bridge stadium. Previously a fine-dining restaurant by Marco Pierre White named Marco, which opened in 2007, the site now offers a simpler, British-inspired menu from existing head chef Roger Pizey, who has worked with Pierre White for over 30 years. Dishes include 35-day-aged steaks, traditional fish and chips, slow-cooked lamb, corn-fed chicken breast and grilled Dorset lemon sole. There are also sharing platters. HIT OR MISSS? World's first SNAKE pizza goes on sale
The more adventurous eaters can pick up an 'Everglades' pizza at Evan's Neighbourhood Pizza in Fort Myers, Florida, and its not just snake meat that can be expected on it. Inspired by the swamp creatures that reside in the area, the pizza also contains alligator, frog legs (bone included), swamp cabbage, hog, tomato - and python. The 14-inch feast costs a whopping £28 as snake meat is so expensive. Read more from The Daily Star
