Marco Pierre White plans restaurant in Dumfries
Celebrity chef Marco Pierre White is to launch his first restaurant in Scotland next month. The Michelin star holder will join forces with the Aston Hotel in Dumfries to bring his Wheeler's of St James's brand north of the border in November.

Top chef opens Cullens restaurant in Stone
HUSBAND and wife team Richard and Kara Cullen have opened the doors to their brand new restaurant. Richard, who has won the Taste of Staffordshire Masterchef competition twice, Staffordshire Young Chef of the Year in 2006 and appeared on BBC's Masterchef The Professionals, was previously head chef at his parents' pub The Spotgate Inn, in Hilderstone.

Restaurateur Russell Norman to open fourth Polpo site
Restaurateur Russell Norman and business partner Richard Beatty are set to open a new Polpo restaurant in London’s Notting Hill. The 100-cover site will be the largest of the four Polpo restaurants in the group, which also includes Covent Garden, Smithfield, and Soho, the latter of which was the first to open in 2009. The restaurants describe themselves as “bacaros”, which translates as a humble, Venetian restaurant serving simple food and wine.

David Cameron’s favourite curry house has been busted for employing illegal immigrants. Border officials raided The Shaan restaurant in Witney, Oxfordshire, earlier this month and arrested three Bangladeshi men who will now be deported from the UK.
