Six colleges will be competing against each other in a cook-off on 16th February, 2015, to decide who will win Zest Quest Asia, the Asian cuisine cooking competition created by Cyrus Todiwala OBE.

The shortlist was compiled by acclaimed chef Cyrus Todiwala and Clive Roberts, Chairman of the Master Chefs of Great Britain, and the chosen colleges are Farnborough College of Technology, Doncaster College, Sheffield City College, University College Birmingham, Westminster Kingsway College and University of West London.

The competition offers a team of three students and their tutor the chance to win a week-long culinary education trip to Asia.

Cyrus said: “We were overwhelmed by the number of great entries, so it was a tough call. I can only say to those shortlisted, you have done great, and if you can keep up the momentum till February, that trip to an Asian food capital may just be yours.”

Clive Roberts added: “The second year of Zest Quest Asia promises an even bigger final than the last. I deeply admire the colleges that encouraged their students to put in entries as Asian cuisine is a key area in the future of culinary arts in this country.”

The cook-off will be held at Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5 on 16th February, and will be followed by a Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony where the winners will be announced.

Tickets are available now for £75 each or £650 for a table of ten. To book, email Pervin Todiwala.
