Taking to social media to announce the news, former Restaurant Gordon Ramsay chef patron Clare says she will be opening at Waldorf Astoria London in 2026.
Clare wrote: “Beyond excited to finally share this! It is an incredible honour to be opening a new restaurant at the magnificent Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch Hilton and in partnership with Reuben Brothers Group.
“This Grade I listed landmark holds so much history, and to be part of its transformation into a world-class destination is truly special.
“Under the same roof, the amazing Daniel Boulud will also be opening his own restaurant, making this a new culinary home for exceptional dining in the heart of London. I can’t wait to welcome you in 2026 and share more about what we’re creating.
“A historic setting, a new chapter, and something truly unforgettable to come - stay tuned!”
Clare grew up on a farm in Northern Ireland, before moving to England as a teenager to pursue a career as a chef, working for the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Alain Ducasse, and winning a host of awards along the way.
She received an MBE in 2013 for her services to hospitality and has become a familiar face on television cooking shows.
Michelin-starred French chef Daniel Boulud has restaurants around the world, including in New York, Dubai and Singapore.
He said: “I am thrilled to announce our partnership in the heart of London with the historic Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch. Under its Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts brand, Hilton - in partnership with Reuben Brothers Group - is transforming the storied landmark into a 100 key luxury hotel and residences.
“Sebastien Silvestri and I eagerly anticipate opening our new restaurant at the opposite end of The Mall to Buckingham Palace in the near future, alongside a new restaurant by the exceptional Clare Smyth.
“Stay tuned for the evolution of this majestic project in the months ahead, as this landmark building is carefully restored to reveal a new world-class luxury hotel and dining destination in the UK.”
