The Chester Grosvenor's La Brasserie appoints Gareth Jones as head chef
The Chester Grosvenor Hotel has announced that Gareth Jones is to become head chef within their La Brasserie restaurant.
Returning to The Chester Grosvenor, but this time to run the kitchen, Gareth is excited about the journey ahead and said: “15 years ago I built a relationship with The Chester Grosvenor when in the position of sous chef. So to return as head chef really is a fantastic opportunity.”
Alongside coffee and light snacks, La Brasserie offers a continually changing á la mode menu, which will see Gareth facing new challenges, he explained: “La Brasserie presents a fantastic canvas on which to paint. It is a tremendously elegant space, with a history of culinary excellence and a wide ranging, constantly-evolving menu to get my teeth into.”
Located next to Michelin starred restaurant, ‘Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor’, La Brasserie oozes French chic, with black leather sofas, sleek granite table tops and a hand-painted skylight. The restaurant has also recently added a Josper, which only burns the finest, sustainable coppice wood from Tregothnan Kentish estate, ensuring their food surpasses in both flavour and excellence.
