Chefs react to Lisa Goodwin-Allen's departure from Northcote
Chefs have shared their support following Lisa Goodwin-Allen's announcement of departure from Northcote.
Lisa, the executive chef at Northcote in Lancashire, has announced she is leaving Northcote, a Michelin-starred restaurant after 23 years.

She has also worked in prestigious kitchens including Holbeck Ghyll and Le Champignon Sauvage in Cheltenham.
Lisa joined the team at Northcote in 2001 and became a head chef at 23. She has also retained a Michelin star at Northcote since 2018.
In a post on social media, it read: “After 23 amazing years at Northcote, the time has come for me to move on and explore new opportunities.
“I am incredibly proud of everything we have accomplished at Northcote and, more recently, across The Stafford Collection. The journey has been nothing short of amazing, and it has been an honour to lead such an exceptional team.
“I am so thankful for the opportunity Craig Bancroft and all the team at Northcote have given me. I am leaving with the happiest of memories, after more than two decades it will always have a very special place in my heart!
“I am excited to see what happens next and exploring all new opportunities, whatever they may be. While this is a bittersweet moment, I wish the team continued success in the years ahead.”
The announcement came as a shock to many who had worked with Lisa and multiple chefs took to social media to wish her well for the future.
Nathan Davies said: “Good luck mate, what an amazing job you’ve done there! Exiting to see what the future holds for you and can’t wait to see you put your stamp on something special what ever and where ever that may be.”
Nathan Outlaw shared: “Congratulations Lisa. You’re a superstar. Good luck with your next adventure.”
Nieves Barragan Mohacho added: “you are amazing and anything that you will do, it will be amazing.”
Clare Smyth commented: “Wishing you continued success in your career! I am sure what ever you choose to do it will be excellent. Best of luck.”
