Chefs pay tribute to legendary French chef Paul Bocuse
Paul Bocuse, celebrated French chef and a leading figure of the Nouvelle Cuisine movement, will be laid to rest today.
Ahead of his funeral at Saint-Jean cathedral in Lyon at 10.30am, chefs around the world have been paying tribute to Bocuse, a culinary trailblazer who was an integral part of a progressive band of chefs who developed a modernised version of classic French cuisine in the late 1960s and 1970s.
Three Michelin starred chef patron of The Waterside Inn, Alain Roux said he had 'lost a very close friend'. Adding: "We truly lost a great chef. I salute all he achieved in his life and lasting legacy". Michel Roux called Paul "the greatest chef of all".

#1997 outide Charlie Trotters Chicago. I was 19year old, super nervous. the King of French food Paul Bocuse was visiting for lunch. We all waited 1 hour outside for the King to arrive. 20 years ago but feels like yesterday. Thank you Paul and Charlie for… https://t.co/sTNv8NrShE pic.twitter.com/aSmErc2AbV
