In the autobiography, Catering for Life: Autobiography of Victor Ceserani, Michelin-starred chef, Michel Roux described Victor as “one of the pillars of the industry”. Anton Mosimann has also referred to the author as a “culinary hero of British cuisine”.
Victor won many awards in his time including an MBE and honorary life membership of the HCIMA.
Victor began his lustrious career working for the Ritz back in the 1930's before joining Charles Abry at the Orleans Club and later at Boodles. In the 1950's he started a year’s teacher training course at North West London Polytechnic. It was here where he first met Dr Pickard. The first edition of their book, Practical Cookery, was written and published in 1962.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Victor's close family and friends at this sad time.
