The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is delighted to announce that the Annual Young Chef of the Year competition is coming to Britain.

This is the first time that Britain has had the opportunity to host the International Young Chef final, an honour bestowed upon countries demonstrating culinary excellence on a global level.

Entries are now open for 2016 and calling for chefs under the age of 27 to step forward for regional trials. If successful at regional level, the candidate will take part in national competition before having the chance to represent their country at the final in Manchester next September.

“Chaîne GB is committed to nurturing young culinary talent and to supporting the development of skills across the Industry,” said Philip Evins, GB Bailli Délégué for the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.

“The Young Chef Competition is an important part of this, and being awarded the honour of hosting the International Final is proof that we are succeeding in this promise which will ensure Britain remains in top position on the world food stage."

As well as cooking skills, entrants must demonstrate creativity, passion and a thorough knowledge of both traditional and modern cooking techniques. Entrants must be nominated by their Chaîne des Rôtisseurs’ affiliated employer by the 31stDecember 2015.

Joe Gould won the coveted spot as the GB representative for the 2015 International finals, winning the national trials back in March. But who will represent the nation for 2016?
