Cherish Finden has left her role as executive pastry chef at the Pan Pacific London hotel to focus on a new career chapter.

Executive pastry chef and Bake Off: The Professionals judge Cherish Finden has left the Pan Pacific London hotel to focus on a new chapter in her career.

Cherish joined the hotel in 2019,before it launched in September 2021, later opening her debut solo pâtisserie Shiok! in June 2022.

Commenting on Cherish’s decision to leave the hotel, Anne Golden, vice-president of operations, UK & North America, and general manager of the Pan Pacific London, said: "Executive pastry chef Cherish Finden has made the decision to leave Pan Pacific London to focus on a new career chapter. Cherish joined us in pre-opening in 2019 and was instrumental in the success of the hotel since opening with her incredible creations, and it has been an absolute pleasure working with her. All of us at Pan Pacific London will miss her and wish her all the very best with her new endeavours."

In her role as executive pastry chef, Cherish developed the hotel's entire pastry selection, while Shiok!'s menu included desserts such as the chocolate teapot; the lemon and raspberry compote handbag; and the coffee-flavoured Kopi Tarik.

Cherish worked at Pan Pacific Singapore in 1991 and has headed the pastry offering at hotels such as the Raffles Hotel Singapore, the Sheraton Tower Singapore, and the Langham London.

Before she joined Pan Pacific London, Cherish was a creative development chef at world renowned chocolatier Godiva.
