We are delighted to announce that we are changing the format to The Featured Chef in 2013, we continually improve and move the feature forward.

There is no doubt the impact this feature has had on the site our YouTube channel stands testament to this, with some 23,000 video views each month.

The Staff Canteen has already created 37 videos with some of the world’s finest chefs, in what has become an unrivalled feature, that began with a pilot with Mr Gary Jones Executive Chef of Le Manoir Aux quat’Saisons and began in earnest with Scotlands only two Michelin Star Chef Andrew Fairlie, almost three years ago.

So what is new for 2013?  Well, firstly, we plan to travel more, we already have two European three stars: one in Spain; one in the Netherlands, confirmed and are working very hard on others, plus of course we’ll be working with the very best Chefs in the UK. The new format will see us deliver 24-videos in just 12-months, and each chef will feature in two videos - the first being an extended look at them, their career and their advice in a talking heads interview style.  This will replace the text interview. Then two weeks after the interview, the video recipe feature will be shown so you, our audience, will receive some 10-12 minutes each month of the world’s best Chefs in this feature alone!

We are delighted that Michael Caines MBE will be the first chef we feature in 2013 in the new two video format .

Excited? We are!
