Award-winning Hipping Hall will close its doors later this summer
Hipping Hall Restaurant and Rooms has announced it will be closing its doors on 24 July after 20 years of service.
The modern country retreat, which holds four AA rosettes and has featured in the Michelin Guide, made the announcement via an email newsletter.
The announcement from the hotel read: "With much sadness and a heavy heart, we regret to announce that Hipping Hall will close its doors on the 24 July. For the best part of 20 years, we have had the pleasure of welcoming you into this beautiful building and we would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support we have enjoyed over this time."
It added: "We know that this property has created an awful lot of memories and has a special place in many people’s hearts. So please, come and see us before we go – we’d love to welcome you to Hipping Hall for one last hurrah."
Hipping Hall did not cite reasons behind its closure but did confirm that it would continue its ‘Stay and Dine’ offer up until its last day of trading, with rates starting from £329 for a four course menu in one of its rooms.
Heading the Hipping Hall’s restaurant and kitchen is Michelin-starred chef Peter Howarth who joined the team in October 2021.
Peter’s experience boasts positions at Gidleigh Park, where he achieved two Michelin stars and five AA Rosettes, as well as Linconshire’s two Michelin-starred Winteringham Fields.
Peter moved to The Devonshire Arms’ Hotel & Spa, Bolton Abbey, in early 2020 where he spent two successful years as head chef of the Burlington restaurant.
Hipping Hall will be serving lunches every Sunday and selected Friday until the 24 July, with guests encouraged to call and book on 015242 71187.
