Marty is going head to head with chefs Chris McClurg, Gemma Austin and Stephen Hope in a bid to represent Northern Ireland in the regional finals, and ultimately cook a dish at the final banquet on Friday 1st April at 7:30pm. This is Marty's first time on Great British Menu.
As per the programme's format, one chef is eliminated from the competition after cooking their starter and fish course, and Marty was the first to go. Biography
A work experience opportunity at Franco's in his hometown of Enniskillen turned into a weekend job for the teenage Marty McAdam, and subsequently led him to take up working in kitchens as a career.
The chef has since worked in kitchens spanning the globe, including one Michelin-starred The Kitchin in Edinburgh, on yachts in the Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean, and for Neven Maguire at Macnean House.
He returned to the lakelands of Fermanagh to open his own restaurant in 2021, where he serves a range of brunch and lunch options as well as a 15-course tasting menu on reservation.
The chef's dishes on Great British Menu have been inspired by the hugely popular drama series, Line of Duty, and the BBC's breakfast radio broadcasts.
