Eight realities of dating a chef

The Blues Brothers said it before us, but everybody needs somebody to love.

Chefs are no different in that respect. But that's not to say that the realities of dating a chef aren't unique. Here's a list of what makes falling in love with a chef so special.

1) If  you're a chef's spouse, you'll find yourself saying things like: 

 

 

2) On Valentine's Day, and every single weekend, this will be you: 

 

 

3) And while you might have great plans when they finally get a day off at the same time as  you, they will almost definitely rather do this: 

4) You might think you and your partner will share delicious, sophisticated meals every day, but actually this will happen: 

5) And, when you cook for them, you'll probably get a reaction like this: 

 

 

6) Inescapably, if you live with them, everything you own will end up coated in flour and smelling like grease:

6) And if you're kind enough to do their washing, you'll need to learn to always check pockets for sharpies, cutlery, lighters, notepads, and any number of miscellaneous objects: 

 

7) You will find yourself saying things like: 

 

 

 

8) But you'll soon come to realise that it's not worth arguing with them, because:
