Did you know that the Michelin Man’s official name is ‘Bibendum’? The Michelin Guide Singapore has shared some fun facts about the beloved tyre-man, who has been the brand's mascot since 1898!

 1. He used to be a bit creepy and drank nails to prove how hard he was!

2. His weight has fluctuated over the years - with some interesting lifestyle changes!

3. He’s white because tyres used to be white until 1912

4. He has a puffy pet dog called Bubbles

5. We’ve only ever heard him speak once in 1898 (and he's been silent ever since)

6.  But he’s a dab hand with a pen and had his own column in 1907

7. Someone made a chair in his honour – we’re not kidding!

8. There’s even a restaurant in London in his name
