Paulo de Tarso and Nicolas Jaouën to launch Italian restaurant Margot in Covent Garden

On Monday, October 10, Paulo de Tarso and Nicolas Jaouën will open the doors to Italian restaurant, Margot in Covent Garden.

Paulo, former maître d’ of Daniel Boulud’s London outpost, Bar Boulud and Nicolas, who left his role as general manager at Mayfair’s La Petite Maison aim to celebrate seamless service and authentic Italian cuisine with Margot when it opens next month.

The 104 cover restaurant is said to create an ‘inviting, comfortable and refined environment’ for its diners.

Executive chef, Maurizio Morelli will bring an authentic taste of Italy’s gastronomic regions with delicate, yet flavourful plates. Menu highlights will include fresh seafood dishes such as scallop carpaccio with lime, fresh broad beans and red chili sauce and tagliolini with Sicilian red prawns to hearty and flavourful meat dishes including veal ossobuco with saffron risotto “alla Milanese” with veal jus. To complete their meal, guests can choose from a selection of celebrated Italian desserts, ranging from a decadent tiramisu with chocolate heart and Modica chocolate crumble to flattened Sicilian cannolo, ricotta cream and pistachio ice cream.

Set across two floors the restaurant is designed by Fabled Studio and features an elegant yet contemporary palette of deep blues, pale marble and copper accents.
