Further details revealed about Shaun Rankin's restaurant at Fleming Hotel

Shaun Rankin has revealed more details about his upcoming restaurant which is due to open later this year in the five star boutique hotel, Flemings Hotel in Mayfair.

Taking to Twitter, Shaun announced that the 85 cover seat restaurant called Ormer Mayfair will be opening this September and also thanked his followers for their support.

The menu will focus on Rankin’s Jersey heritage offering seasonal Jersey produce including fresh lobster, crab, oysters, hand dived scallops, Jersey royals and hand-picked shoreline foraged herbs. Desserts including double chocolate brownie with salt caramel and milk ice-cream will also feature on the menu.

The décor created by interior designers Tully Fulmer will feature dark wood panelling and green leather, velvet seating and bronze detail to reflect the 1920’s art deco scene.

Plans for the new restaurant were announced back in April 2015 as part of the hotel’s £14million refurbishment plan.

Shaun has been Jersey-based for twenty years and has held a Michelin star for 11 years, with Bohemia and now his own Jersey restaurant, Ormer. His new venture with Flemings Hotel will run alongside his current restaurant.
