The Farm Africa Blog: Are you up for a challenge?
As we embrace the summer season and fire up the barbecues, crack open the beers and flip the burgers, it’s time to reflect on our achievements in the first half of the year! And we don’t just mean the ability to make the most incredible BBQ steak.
RideLondon
Next month, a team from The Hinds Head in Bray will be taking on the Prudential RideLondon 100 cycle ride and will pedal the 100-mile route around the capital to raise funds and awareness for Farm Africa. Inspired by Kilimanjaro climbing chef, Ashley Palmer-Watts, the team wanted to try something different and collectively challenge themselves.

Ryan Osnowski, the restaurant’s Bar Manager explained why the team were putting themselves through the paces.
Why do a challenge?
One in eight people around the world go to bed hungry every night. As individuals working in the restaurant industry, you know that food brings people together and is made for sharing – but still, hunger kills more people than AIDS, TB and malaria combined. This is a shocking fact and one which Farm Africa is working to change.
