Señor Ceviche brings a slice of downtown Lima to Soho

Much loved Peruvian pop-up, Señor Ceviche, will throw open the doors of its first permanent residence in Kingly Court, Carnaby Street this month. DonCeviche---HiResMFollowing a wildly successful series of pop-ups around the capital, Señor Ceviche will serve tasty tapas style plates of fresh ceviche, Peruvian street food and fiery BBQ, alongside punchy Pisco cocktails and ice cold Peruvian beers from its new casa. Inspired by his time working in Peru’s top ceviche restaurant, Señor Ceviche himself, Harry Edmeades, will transport hungry Londoners to the sights, sounds and tastes of the Peruvian capital. The interiors have been designed around the bohemian and artistic streets of Lima’s party district, Barranco, which is home to some of Lima’s most exciting bars and restaurants, and where Harry stayed while in Peru. Heading up the menus are Señor’s signature ceviches, with the original sea bream and king prawn ceviche with aji amarillo tiger’s milk and crispy baby squid. They are available alongside a selection of Peruvian BBQ specials such as the slow cooked pachamanca pork ribs with pink pickled cabbage and super chicken with rocotto chilli mayonnaise. Eclectic Latin American music will keep the Peruvian spirit alive, together with expertly prepared cocktails, including Señor Ceviche’s famed frozen cocktails and freshly shaken pisco sours. Senor Ceviche - Ceviche Founded in 2012 by Harry, the roots of Señor Ceviche lie in pop-up innovation; just five ceviche dishes and his now-signature pisco sour featured on the original menu for a one-off fusion of art and cuisine at The Art Cellar, and saw other takeovers at The Doodle Bar and Dukebox. Since then, Harry has continued his culinary journey, spending extensive time in Peru to bring new flavours and tastes to Señor Ceviche’s experimental menu. As well as working in some of the Lima’s top restaurants with Peru’s most acclaimed chefs, Harry has worked tirelessly to source the very best of Peruvian produce. Through meeting with an array of chilli farmers to pisco producers across Peru, Harry ensures Señor Ceviche will serve authentic dishes made from the highest quality and freshest Peruvian ingredients. Senor Ceviche - Frozen Cocktail With a buzzy open plan kitchen and funky Latin American music, Senor Ceviche is a homage to the lively streets of downtown Lima, serving up a large slice of Peruvian attitude in the heart of London.Celebrating the vibrancy of Peruvian culture, authentic Chicha street art will adorn the walls, with posters commissioned exclusively for Señor Ceviche, who in turn support the families that make them.
