IFE The HubNext year’s International Food and Drink Exhibition at the ExCeL Centre London will see the launch of the first IFE World Food Innovation Awards. Like IFE itself, the awards will be a celebration of everything new and exciting in the world of food, and exhibitors who choose to enter will be able to gain plenty of media coverage in the run to and after the show. Mina Booth, head of marketing at show organisers Fresh Montgomery explained that award organisers FoodBev Media will bring “a wealth of knowledge and experience” to the awards, and a “commercially aware perspective.” She explained: “This means that while the awards reward and recognise new products and brands that drive for innovation, they will also look at the delivery of a framework that makes strong business sense.”IFE Food The judging panel for the awards will recognise sixteen areas across the following categories: finished products, ingredients, packaging, brands, manufacturing and processing, sustainability and marketing. The IFE World Innovation Awards are now open for entries, with the finalists and winners to be announced at IFE 2015 at ExCeL Centre London on 23rd March 2015. All entrants will automatically be entered into a special category for a chance to win the Fresh Ideas award, where judges will be looking for the most innovative idea within the food industry this year. Entries close on 25th February 2015. To find out more, and to register, visit www.ife.co.uk, or follow them on Twitter @IFEexhibition using the hashtag #ife15.
