this is a strong syrup, goes well with bitter chocolate desserts or stone fruits.

gently heat A to dissolve and then bring to a boil. simmer 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
add B, and leave for as long as desired-the flavour will continue to get stronger as long as you leave it in, so we usually only have it in for 5 minutes.
pass through muslin.
